Visit of foreign consumer experts at the European Consumer Centre

On 5-6th October 2016 13 staff members of the Spanish, Dutch, Czech, Slovakian, Slovenian and Croatian member organisations of the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) paid a visit at the European Consumer Centre of Hungary hosted by the Hungarian Authority for Consumer Protection (HACP).

German online travel agent, Unister Group, applied for bankruptcy – tips from the European Consumer Centre

The European Consumer Centre Hungary (ECC Hungary) operating in the organisation of the Hungarian Authority for Consumer Protection has been notified by the German partner centre that the companies of German Unister Group, which run travel websites, sold travel packages and acted as booking intermediaries for flights and hotels, filed for insolvency proceedings at the Local Court of Leipzig. The affected websites are run by different companies of the Group. UNISTER TRAVEL Betriebsgesellschaft mbH (Dittrichtring 18 - 20, D-04109 Leipzig) runs www.fluege.de, www.vlucht24.nl, www.fly.co.uk, www.vuelo24.es, www.hotelreservierung.de websites. The website www.ab-in-den-urlaub-deals.de is run by U-Deals GmbH (Barfußgäßchen 11, D-04109 Leipzig), the www.airline-direct.de is run by Travel Viva GmbH (Luitpoldstraße 9, D-63739 Aschaffenburg) and the operator of the www.urlaubstours.de is the Urlaubstours GmbH (Barfußgässchen 11, D-04109 Leipzig), which is act as a tour operator and organises package tours.
