A Nemzeti Fogyasztóvédelmi Hatóság szervezetében működő Európai Fogyasztói Központ Magyarország (EFK) a német társközpontjától értesült arról, hogy a főleg repülőjegyek, szálláshelyek és utazási csomagok értékesítésének közvetítésével foglalkozó német Unister cégcsoporthoz tartozó cégek, így a, a, a, a és a weboldalakat üzemeltető (UNISTER TRAVEL Betriebsgesellschaft mbH), a honlapot üzemeltető (a U-Deals GmbH), a oldalt üzemeltető (Travel Viva GmbH), valamint a oldalon utazási csomagokat értékesítő (Urlaubstours GmbH) vállalkozásokkal szemben felszámolási eljárás indult.

Consumer protection advices of the European Consumer Centre for travellers heading for the Summer Olympic Games

On 6th August starts the Summer Olympic Games, where we can cheer the Hungarian sportsmen and sportswomen, too. It is also expected that many Hungarian fans will travel to Brazil following the Hungarian Olympic Team. Therefore, the European Consumer Centre Hungary (ECC) operating at the Hungarian Authority for Consumer Protection is convinced that it is important to call the attention of the travellers to their rights in case of complaints against European or Brazilian traders, service providers, furthermore how these rights can be enforced, and where further help can be obtained to settle the complaints.

The Spanish travel intermediary, Lowcostholidays Spain S.L went bankrupt

The European Consumer Centre Hungary (ECC Hungary) operating in the organisation of the Hungarian Authority for Consumer Protection was informed by the Spanish partner centre that Lowcostholidays Spain S.L, which is one of the biggest Spanish online travel agencies, was declared bankrupt on 15 July 2016.
