European Consumer Summit, with the 10-year-old ECC-Net and the Digital Single Market in the focus

European Consumer Summit is organized by the European Commission annually and is attended by more than 500 key European Union and international decision makers and other stakeholders, representing among others the European Parliament, national governments and authorities, consumer protection organizations, as well the business and scientific sectors. This year’s summit was held between 1st and 2nd June.

European Consumer Centres’ Network 2005-2015 – 10 years in protecting cross border consumer rights

The European Consumers Centres Network (ECC-Net) playing an important role in the cross border consumer protection has safeguarded the interests of European consumers since 2005, and the Network is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The Network is made up of national European consumer centres operating in 28 Member States of the EU and also in Norway and Iceland co-funded by the European Union. In Hungary the European Consumer Centre performs its duty within the organisation of the Hungarian Authority for Consumer Protection supervised by the Ministry of National Development.
